The Center for Employment Training was established in San Jose, California in 1967 and has grown into a national network with locations across several states. The main campus in San Jose allows students to train five days a week from six to seven hours a day, moving at their own pace in a career-oriented job and skills training course until they achieve competency levels in a given skill. Professional instructors provide extensive industry expertise and assist with simulation supervision so that students can achieve hands-on experience in a work style environment. Such a rich and unique learning environment speaks for itself, with thousands of individuals prospering from their achieved skills and knowledge learned at the Center every year.

The Center for Employment Training is full of exciting programs for vocational training that can help you build a promising future. If you are interested in hands-on skilled professions, you can train in the following disciplines: Truck Driver, Warehouse Operator (or shipping and receiving), Welding Fabricator, Electrical Repair Specialist, Automotive Maintenance Technician, HVAC Installation and Service Technician, Machine Tool Operator, Building Maintenance Service Technician, or Forklift Operator. Other options offered at the center include training as an Accounting Clerk, Business Office Technician, Early Childhood Teacher, PC Technician, or Retail Specialist.
